Re: BMW-Mini R56 for HFS3-v1 and HFS3-v2
The V3 has a number of improvements:
1. Automatic decorder switching for various fuel delivery system. Such as peak and hold, direct injection, common rail diesel and conventional. 2. Three flow maps instead of one. More accurate flow indication from one small to three large jets. 3. User selectable 1, 2.5 and 3.5 bar MAP sensor input. 4. Aux input channel for wmi enrichment when connected to DI engine's fuel pressure, egt sensor etc. (0-5V)

Any changes required here for the newer R56 engines N18, for both jcw and S 2013 on

Yes, ECU wiring is totally different on the N18.

Re: BMW-Mini R56 for HFS3-v1 and HFS3-v2
I'm assuming a hfs 4 would better than a hfs 3
But I'm not actually sure why apart from the opportunity of a egt link to fail-safe

Re: BMW-Mini R56 for HFS3-v1 and HFS3-v2
The HFS4 handles DI signals better than the HFS3 as it is being updated continuously.

Re: BMW-Mini R56 for HFS3-v1 and HFS3-v2
The N14 uses a similar DME as the N18, requires a HFS4 system.
MED17.2 to MED17.2.2 respectively. So there is a good change the N18 wiring diagram will work.
